Stolen Moments...

At this very moment, Brooklyn is sleeping on the first floor, Dylan is playing with his trains in the basement, and I am "stealing" a few moments on the computer. Quite honestly, these are definitely stolen moments because quiet time like this is few and far between these days. I know that you with little ones know exactly what I am talking about!

We returned last week from a two-week trip back home... Baton Rouge was hot, humid, congested, and perfectly typical, but there is always something very special about spending time with my family and in my hometown. No matter where I live or how crazy Baton Rouge gets (and it is wild these days, post-Katrina), it will always be my hometown! Roots grow very deeply in the Sanders family, and despite a slight change of name, I am a Sanders!!

Our trip was wonderful... we started by surprising the entire family when we showed up at Katherine's first birthday party. Everyone thought we were coming in the next day, but we were able to show up early in Nachitoches and had a wonderful time at the party. We headed down to BTR after that, and our trip was full of fun and excitement... a few
beignets, lots of Community Coffee and Bluebell Ice Cream, a trip to Mike Anderson's, an introduction to Parrain's, a ride on the Old Hickory Railroad, a couple of visits to Bouncing Tigers (the indoor, inflatable playground), a trip into the French Quarter and the 9th Ward, and a gazillion mosquito bites.

Here are just a few of the snapshots:

Well...seems to be a few problems posting pics this morning. I'll try to revise this later with the other shots.
