Advent Tree: Day 1
Advent is here, and our "new" tradition of using an Advent Tree has begun. I thought I would share with you the Scriptures we are reading each night. If you were here, I would share with you one of our peppermint patties or caramels, but what I can share with you is really the most important part any ways.
In preparing the verses, I focused them around a couple of things --- the story of the birth of Jesus and what the Scriptures say about him. They are in no particular order... maybe that can be next year's goal.

Hebrews 4:14-16
Jesus, the Great High Priest
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
