The next 268 generation...

There's an entire generation of college students (and some of us who are little older than that!) who anxiously awaited the release of the Passion '06 CD this past Tuesday. Brian pre-ordered our copies --- yes, we always buy multiple copies --- and waited for the postman to arrive on Tuesday. Dylan and I were out when he came by the house, so we were a little sad to see an empty stoop when we returned... no packages as far as we could tell. Dylan ran up to the house saying "CD, CD, CD... no CD, Mommy!" Our hearts sank a little until we opened up the mailbox and found that the package (despite containing multiple copies) actually fit inside. Our disappointment turned to excitement, and we ran in the house and popped it in the Bose. In short, it's a great project!!

The thing I've enjoyed the most is seeing how excited Dylan is to listen to the new music. He's become quite the music enthusiast despite being only 2-1/2 years old, and honestly, he's a bit picky on what he likes. We listened to the CD, downloaded it to the laptop and the iPod, and set it aside for the night. The next day he came to me and said "Mommy, play the paid-it-all song! Paid-it-all song!" I replied, "The what?" --- hey, it didn't sound quite as clear as it looks when you write it down! He said to me "JeJus, paid it all! Play the JeJus, paid it all song!" Since Wednesday, he's been walking all around telling folks he meets that Jesus paid it all... check out Kristian Stanfill's version of the great hymn on this project. He's made a nickname for almost every song on the project --- originally, the Party Song was called "The Potty Song". Thankfully, by now, he's figured out that it is really "Party"and not at all about the potty. Matt Redman's "You Never Let Go" is referred to as the "Oh, No" song... you'll just have to listen to the track to understand this one.

All that said, I realized today that it is quite possible that I am raising a member of the next 268 Generation.
