My niece, Katherine, just turned one! Isn't she a cutie? Looks a whole lot like her daddy, but I see a little of my sister in there too!

Happy Birthday Kit Kat!

Brooklyn & Bossier, 2 months...

Brooklyn celebrated her 2 month birthday this past week, and I captured a few pictures of her and Bossier to share with you. She's wearing a precious yellow eyelet dress that Scott (Brian's brother) and his wife, Sarah, gave her... I thought it matched Bossier's scarf pretty nicely!

About Brooklyn though... She's a wonderful baby with a sweet & cuddly personality. She eats well and loves to sleep (just like her Daddy). In fact, I try really hard to wake up in the mornings before everyone else so I can get some quiet time in and a shower (if I'm lucky!), and Brooklyn has no problem with that. She just snuggles up with her Daddy, and the two of them sleep until they absolutely have to get up or until Dylan (the early bird) wakes them up. By the way, don't show this picture to the pediatrician... evidently sleeping on your stomach is the "illegal" way to sleep, but it's the only way my children will sleep!

Brooklyn is also very tolerant --- tolerant of her rough & tumbling big brother, her guitar-playing Daddy (actually it's more like guitar-"learning"), her sometimes very exhausted mother, and her noisy & curious miniature schnauzer. She's been stepped on, kicked on, licked on (by the dog and possibly by Dylan too), sneezed on, kissed on, and loved on, and she has taken it all in stride. She has even started smiling in response to us. She has been flexible and patient, and she is a true joy to all of us.

We're are completely enjoying our baby girl, and we are so thankful God chose to bring her to our family!
